How do I register/backup my Pocket Planes game?

To register your Pocket Planes game, go to the Settings icon in the Pocket Planes menu (on the game you want to register) and tap "Turn on Cloud Services". You will then be prompted to enter a valid email address where further activation instructions will be sent. If you view the email on the same device, you can click the "HERE" activation link in the email. Otherwise, return to the Pocket Planes Settings screen (on the same device it was requested), tap "Enter Code" and enter the activation code from the email. The Settings menu should display a "Cloud Services Enabled" button when your registration was successful. You can also tap this button to confirm which email address is registered.

You need to activate within 24 hours of receiving the activation email and the code can only be used once. If you need to request a new code repeat the above instructions.

How can I sync my game to another device?

Before syncing you need to register your game to your email address.  Please see the previous response on registering your original save first.  Once your initial save is registered, you can then install the app on a secondary device, go to the Pocket Planes Settings screen on the new device and turn on Cloud Services using the same email address used for the initial registration.  You will be sent a new activation email.  If you view this new email from the secondary device, you can click the "HERE" activation link to complete the sync or go into the Pocket Planes Settings screen on the secondary device, tap "Enter Code" and enter the new activation code. Once complete, the game will give a prompt confirming that you wish to sync your previously registered save.

I lost my Pocket Planes data, how do I get it back?

If you've previously registered your save to your email address, you can restore it from within the app. Reinstall the Pocket Planes app on your device, go to the Settings screen, tap "Turn on Cloud Services" and type in the same email address used for initial registration. You will be sent a new activation code via email. If you view the email on the same device, you can click the "HERE" activation link in the email. Otherwise, return to the Pocket Planes Settings screen (on the same device it was requested), tap "Enter Code" and enter the activation code. Once complete, the game will give a prompt confirming that you wish to sync your previously registered save.

If you did not previously register your game before it was lost, we can attempt to retrieve it.  Email us with your current and previous friend codes from the Pocket Planes Friends screen (if you can't remember your past friend code, check with a friend who may still have your friend code in their Pocket Planes Friends screen).

If you had requested an activation email before deleting the app, even if you did not complete the activation, please email us the link from that email as we may still be able to recover your save with the link.

I got an error when trying to register my game, now what?

The activation code needs to be entered on the same save and device it was requested from and you need to activate within 24 hours of receiving this email or you will need to request another one. Each email code/link is only good for one use. You can request a new code by going to the Cloud screen and re-entering your email address.  A new activation email will be sent.
Please note, you have to activate the backup/sync on one device at a time.  For example, enter your email on the Cloud screen of Device A (the device with your game progress). Once you get the email, go back to the Cloud screen on Device A and enter the code to do the initial activation.  You'll know the registration was successful when you see you email address on the Cloud screen. Then you can go to Device B (the device you want to sync or transfer the game to) and enter your email on the Cloud screen for a new activation email that has a code to activate on Device B's Cloud screen.
