Golden Tickets and Rebuilding FAQ

How can I earn golden tickets?

Golden tickets can be earned 2 ways.  One way is by rebuilding your tower.  When you rebuild, you will receive 1 golden ticket for each 50 floors you have (i.e. 50-99 floors = 1 ticket, 100-149 floors = 2, 150-199 floors= 3 etc).  You can also win golden tickets by entering the hourly raffle.  See the Tiny Tower menu under 1HR Raffle for more info and to enter.

What items are kept when rebuilding? 

When rebuilding you get to keep any previously earned golden tickets (they will continue to accumulate with each reset), your current bux, your current elevator speed, tech points, tech tree, and all of your roof, lobby, and elevator unlocks.  All other progress (floors, bitizens, coins etc) are reset back to the tutorial.  

I upgraded a floor with a golden ticket, can I get it back?

Deleting a floor will return your golden ticket back to your inventory to be spent again.  

If I use a gold ticket is it permanently gone?  

Golden tickets are reusable and are never lost.  You will get credit for any past golden tickets earned each time you rebuild in addition to any new tickets earn.  If you applied a golden ticket to a floor, rebuilding your tower or deleting that floor will return your golden ticket back to your inventory to be spent again.  

What can I do with a golden ticket?

Golden tickets can be used to upgrade business or residential floors.  The first golden ticket upgrade on a business floors grants free and instant stocking as well as upgrading the stock level to 10 so it can hold the maximum amount of stock. 2 additional golden tickets can be applied to a business floor to increase the floor's profit by 10%. The 3rd and final upgrade costs 3 additional golden tickets to increase the business floor's profit by 15%. 

For residential floors, the first golden ticket applied will maximize the skills in all categories of all current residents and all random residents that move in after the upgrade. (Bitizens gifted by friends will not increase). 2 additional golden tickets can be applied to increase the floor's bitizen capacity by 1. The 3rd and final upgrade costs 3 additional golden tickets and increases the rent of that floor's residents by 25%.

Can I rebuild my tower before I reach 50 floors?

You can rebuild any size tower but will not receive golden tickets if it is under 50 floors.

Will an empty or under construction floor count when rebuilding?

Yes, under construction and empty floors will still count towards your floor total for rebuilding. You do not need to wait for construction to be complete.

How do I use a golden ticket?

Tap on the floor you want to upgrade and select the gold "upgrade" button located under the floor name.
