1. How do I register/backup my Bit City?
To register your game, go to the Bit City Menu (purple/white button in lower right corner of the app) and select the Cloud Sync button. In the next screen, tap "Register" in the player email box. You will then be prompted to enter a valid email address where further activation instructions will be sent. If you view the email on the same device, you can click the "HERE" activation link in the email to complete the registration. Otherwise, return to the Bit City Cloud Sync screen (on the same device it was requested), tap the "Register" text again and enter the activation code emailed to you. You'll know the registration was successful when you see your email address listed on the Cloud Sync screen. You need to complete your email address registration within 24 hours of receiving the email or you will need to request a new code by repeating the above instructions. Codes can only be used once and you need to request a new one for each device your register/sync to your email address.
2. How can I sync my game to another device?
Before syncing you need to register your game to your email address. Please see the previous question on registering your original game first. Once your initial game is registered, you can then install the app on another device, go to the Bit City Menu, then Cloud Sync, and type in the same email address used for the initial registration. You will be sent a new activation email. If you view this new activation email from the secondary device, you can click the "HERE" activation link to complete the sync. Alternatively you can go back to the Bit City Cloud Sync screen on the secondary device, tap "Register" again and enter the new activation code from the email. Once complete, the game will give a prompt confirming that you wish to sync your previously registered game.
3. I lost my Bit City data, how do I get it back?
-If you've previously registered your Bit City game to your email address you can restore it from within the app. Go to the Bit City Menu (purple/white button in lower right corner of the app) and select the Cloud Sync button. Then tap "Register" and type in the same email address used for the initial registration. You will be sent a new activation email. If you view this new activation email from the same device, you can click the "HERE" activation link to complete the sync OR go into the Bit City Cloud Sync screen, tap "Register" again and enter the new activation code from the email. Once complete, the game will give a prompt confirming that you wish to sync your previously registered game.
-If you did not previously register your Bit City game to your email address, we can attempt to retrieve it. Email us with your current and previous player code found on the Bit City Cloud Sync screen. To view the code, tap the purple/white button in lower right corner of the app and select the Cloud Sync button. If you don't recall the previous player code, please send the new one along with approximately what you had before and we can take a look at the account to see if your progress is recoverable.
4. I got an error when trying to register my game, now what?
Go to the Cloud Sync screen and re-enter your email address. A new activation email will be sent. You need to activate within 24 hours of receiving this email or you will need to request another activation code. Each email code/link is only good for one use.
Please note, you have to activate the backup/sync on one device at a time. For example, enter your email on the Cloud Sync screen of Device A (the device with your game progress). Once you get the email, go back to the Cloud Sync screen on Device A and enter the activation code to complete the initial activation. You'll know the registration was successful when you see your email address on the Cloud Sync screen of the original device.
Then you can go to Device B (the device you want to sync or transfer the game to) and enter your email on the Cloud Sync screen for a new activation email that has a new activation code to activate on Device B's Cloud Sync screen.
